Today's been rough. The payout that Jenny was promised is now, after the paperwork is done, only two months instead of three. That means our ability to pay our bills has just been shortened by thirty days.
I continue to work on the novel, which in today's market is like buying lottery tickets, and I continue to update my web site so that prospective employers can see my portfolio.
Which in today's market, also feels like buying a lottery ticket.
But what else am I going to do?

Hang in there, a lot of people fell for that "Hope & Change" crap.
You mean, "Hope no one notices I'm a Republican?" "Change I can take from your pockets?" Tough times, these. Good luck, Dave.
I bet if you take all those who voted for Obama that now lost their job, or can't find one, or are now paying a large percentage of their income for Health Care... and you ask them if they had it to do all over again... I wonder who they would like to have now in the White House.
If I'm not mistaken, a whole hell of a lot of people lost their jobs before Obama sat in the Oval Office and a whole hell of a lot of them were not finding jobs then either. And healthcare costs were going through the roof pretty goddamn fast then, too.
These haven't been the best of times and Obama hasn't been everything we hoped, but I don't see a shred of evidence anywhere that the Geezer and the Half-Termer or their cronies in Congress
had anything better to offer than the same tired crap they recycle year after year, the same crap that enabled this situation in the first place.
Obama over these clowns? Any fucking day.
