So, when do we get our health care, eh?

According to the New York Times, this

now equals this:

and the US dollar's dropped to an all time low against the Euro. So if you've got travel plans you might want to cart around another suitcase full of greenbacks so you'll have enough cash on hand to buy a Guiness.

Our northern cousins get a loon on their money and we get a loon in the White House.

This can't be good.

I'm really choked about this. It means the money I have coming from the US just decreased in value significantly.

So a holiday in Canada is now out too. Too bad since it's 20 minutes from here.

Actually, we were on vacation in Quebec when the dollar plummeted a few weeks ago. It didn't start out bad. On the first day, we went to an ATM, and for $188 US, we got $200 Canadian. On the last day, we cashed a $100 US travelers check and got only $94 Canadian. It wasn't even two weeks later.

This is a sad and very scary situation.

That's okay! Hillacare is coming to the US! Free appointments for everybody with doctors from India or someplace they don't eak spenglish. F*sckin' politicians! They all suck! Yes that's a generalized statement that stereotypes politicians as a class. Can you think of a more deserving group to be stereotyped?

Finally I get payback for all those, formerly lesser valued, Canadian pennies, nickles and dimes that have been in my change jar for the last 45 years!

Hey, you can always come visit us folk on the Southern tip of Africa - $1 buys you more than R7 down here.

When are you going to put some intelligent people in charge?
